Overview

The purpose of this workshop is to help students learn how to develop and deliver high impact presentations. It covers the skills necessary to effectively design, develop, and deliver different types of briefings and presentations. The first half-day consists of an overview for all students of the ingredients necessary to deliver a winning presentation, including how to use a variety of communications styles, how to use compelling audio-visual aids effectively to engage an audience, and industry best practices. The course also presents the most common mistakes presenters make, strategies for addressing anxiety about public speaking, and strategies for engaging audiences. The remainder of the course is dedicated to practicing these skills. At the end of the course, students will create a personal action plan to help them apply the skills learned from the course to their jobs. This course can be offered on-site, off-site, at Centre’s location, virtually, on-demand, and web-based.
